Wednesday, September 4, 2013 @ 10:55 am - Adele Plans Son's 1st Birthday Party

Adele is reportedly lining up TV illusionist David Blaine to perform magic tricks at her son Angelo's first birthday party in October after they hit it off in New York earlier this year.

Adele is planning to have David Blaine perform magic tricks at her son's first birthday party.

The 'Skyfall' hitmaker is pulling out all the stops to make little Angelo's first birthday bash in October as special as possible and hopes the TV illusionist will fly to her home in Brighton on the South Coast of Britain to wow her friends and family with his famous stunts.

Adele, 25, is thought to have hit it off with David - who counts the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio among his close friends - when they met in New York City in June and the stars have developed a close friendship.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: ''Adele wants a small, intimate family party for Angelo - with a magic theme. Having David there will make it even more memorable and she hopes he can teach the whole family how to do a few tricks on the day. They got on so well when they met, she is sure he'll be up for joining the party.''

The Oscar-winning musician and boyfriend Simon Konecki are planning an intimate gathering for their son's big day and Adele is even set to bake Angelo's birthday cake herself, rather than splashing out on one.

The source added: ''As she's quite good in the kitchen, Adele really wants to bake Angelo the birthday cake herself. She's also toying with the idea of singing him a special song.''

Sunday, August 11, 2013 @ 12:38 pm - Adele Gives The Civil Wars Major Chart Boost

British singer Adele has given folk duo The Civil Wars a major chart boost after she urged her 16 million Twitter.com followers to buy the band's new album.

The group has returned to the spotlight with a self-titled second album, which has been sent racing up the charts in both Britain and America after Adele offered them a tweet of support.

In a message posted on the singer's Twitter page on Tuesday (07Aug13), she wrote, "Please go and get the new Civil Wars album. They're my absolute favourite and the new record is beautiful!"

Chart officials on both sides of the Atlantic have reportedly seen a spike in sales and the record now looks on course to land a double number one.

The Civil Wars' critically-acclaimed first full-length album, Barton Hollow, peaked at number 10 on the U.S. Billboard 200, and it reached number 13 in the U.K. charts following its release in 2011.

Chart success would be a major boost for the troubled duo following months of turmoil in the band.

Singer Joy Williams recently revealed she is still not on speaking terms with her bandmate John Paul White following the cancellation of their 2012 tour due to "internal discord" and "irreconcilable differences of ambition".

Saturday, August 10, 2013 @ 07:42 am - Adele Plans Son's First Birthday Party

Adele has booked the top floor of the Beaufort Hotel, London, for her son's first birthday.

The 'Skyfall' hitmaker had her first child, Angelo, with Simon Konecki on 19 October 2012 but is planning on celebrating a month early at the upmarket venue in London's wealthy Chelsea district.

A source told The Sun newspaper: ''Adele wants to mark Angelo's first birthday in style.''

Famous faces who have been invited to the bash include the birthday boy's godfather, comedian Alan Carr, and Adele's friend, Sid Owen.

Adele has been keeping a low profile since the birth of her baby and spending a lot of time with her family in the seaside town of Brighton, England, where they have a £2.5million home.

In June she was pictured for the first time with Angelo when the pair were visited Central Park Zoo in New York City.

Earlier this year Adele was among a number of other A-Listers shortlisted for the tile of Celebrity Mum of the Year 2013 in the UK.

Adele is at the centre of many media headlines this morning, as it's being reported that the singer may have married her fiancé Simon Konecki in secret.

The rumour mill went into overdrive this morning when a fan posted a picture of the star to Twitter, where she can be seen showing off a huge diamond band on her wedding ring finger.

But all is not as it seems. The picture is, in fact, an old image, which was taken back in 2011. Reports have stated that the picture was taken when Adele attended a Robbie Williams concert in London last week, but we now know this to be false. What's more, this isn't the first time we've seen the star sporting these rocks.

She's shown them off regularly on the red carpet – you can see them clearly in shots taken at the 2012 BRIT Awards when Adele is clutching her wins.

Adele was thought to be marrying charity worker Simon at a fifties-themed wedding near their Sussex home this month. The pair have been dating since 2011 and welcomed their first child, a son thought to be called Angelo, in October last year.

Last time rumours of a secret wedding circulated, the singer took to Twitter to slam the rumours, saying: 'I'm not married… Zzzzz.'

Over to you, Adele...

Adele, we think we've found someone like you.

A wax figure in the Oscar-winning singer's likeness was unveiled Wednesday at Madame Tussauds in London and Amsterdam and the resemblance is uncanny: the Adele sculpture wears a recreation of the black lace Clements Ribeiro frock that she wore to the 2012 Grammy Awards. The wax figure's hairdo matches a distinctive Adele style as well—a high bouffant look that has become synonymous with the vocally powerful singer.

The sculpture was announced in early May, when a photo of the in-progress wax head made the internet rounds. Just two months earlier, fellow Brit Emma Watson's wax figure was revealed at Madame Tussauds London (in a similarly chic LBD look). One Direction was also recently added to the museum's music line as well.

We think wax Adele looks awesome, and the real Adele agrees—the star is delighted with outcome: "It's amazing—I feel a bit emotional. They've even got my chin right," she said.

Adele's wax twin isn't the only recent reveal associated with the singer. Pictures of her infant son Angelo (her child with boyfriend Simon Konecki) have finally come into sight, the first of which debuted on E! News. The 8-month-old cutie is seen being carried by a dressed-down Adele, clearly in mommy-mode as she totes him around the Central Park Zoo.

The new mama also has some new ink: the singer recently visited Bang Bang Tattoos in New York City to get the word "Paradise" inscribed on the side of her hand. We wonder if the alteration will be made to her new wax figures across the pond.

What do you think of Adele's waxy double?

Monday, July 1, 2013 @ 08:54 am - Adele's New Tattoo!

Adele isn't just rolling in the deep—she's also rolling in the ink.

The Grammy-winner showed off her new tattoo earlier today in this Facebook post by Bang Bang Tattoos captioned, "The lovely adele came in to get tattooed today.'

Sporting a pair of dark shades in the pic, the 25-year-old star proudly shows off the outer side of her left fist where the new ink lies. The tat is short, simple and straight to the point–it's one word: "Paradise."

We know the "Someone Like You" singer is no stranger to tattoos—we first saw the "A" behind her right ear at the Grammy' Awards earlier this year, sparking rumors that her new baby boy's name is indeed Angelo, although the tattoo could be "A" for Adele.

The British songstress and boyfriend Simon Konecki welcomed their first child last October, but have been very quiet about the deets. We didn't even see the first baby pics until 8 months later and the reported name still has yet to be officially confirmed by the couple (but this gold necklace she wore really looks like the baby's believed name).

"I am not sharing his name at the moment. It is very personal to me." Adele told People backstage at the 2013 Golden Globes and added, "I am enjoying him on my own."

Even if mum's the word, we're glad to see Adele happy with her baby boy.

"If I ever have children, I want five boys," she said in a 2011 interview with Vogue, "Boys love their mothers whereas girls can be so mean to each other."

The new mom was blessed with her wish, and more. Just earlier this month, Adele was also named a member of the Order of the British Empire in Queen Elizabeth II's annual Birthday Honors List.

Between parenthood and getting royally honored, we're glad to see the pop superstar still has time for tattoos and art. She even has a wax figure on the way, set to debut in July

We can't wait to see more Adele-related artwork!

The Central Park Zoo just got even cuter.

Adele took her 8-month-old baby boy out to the New York City attraction Wednesday. The Grammy-winning mom, 25, toted her hat-wearing tot on a hot day in the city – though the little guy didn't seem to mind the heat.

The singer's son with boyfriend Simon Konecki is named Angelo, it's been widely reported, though Adele has not officially confirmed what she considers to be a very personal detail.

Still, she has given fans a clue, with her "A" tattoo behind her ear.

With her son has come a new perspective, the singer told reporters earlier this year. "I haven't been as stressed out," she said in February. "In life you have to prioritize what you stress about and worry about when you have a child."

And on British Mother's Day, the singer Tweeted, "Happy mamas day to all of us! This is my first one! Never been happier :) xx."

Adele, 24, is following in One Direction's clay footprints by getting her own figure at Madame Tussauds.

Work is well underway on the Oscar-winner's statue and new images released by the famous museum show sculptors putting the finishing touches to their creation.

Adele's figure will show the songstress in a dramatic performance pose and will be unveiled in London and Amsterdam in July.

It's fitting that the mum-of-one will now take her place among the A-list at Madame Tussauds.

Since breaking on to the music scene in 2008 with her debut album 19, Adele's career has gone from strength to strength despite taking a break for throat surgery and to give birth to son Angelo.

She has become one of the UK's most successful exports thanks to her sophomore album 21, and her recent Oscar for the soaring Bond theme Skyfall.

Adele was also recently named the UK's richest young musician with her £30million fortune earning her top spot in The Sunday Times Young Musician Rich List.

One important date in the songstress diary is first lady Michelle Obama's 50th birthday celebrations in January 2014.

Adele will top the bill alongside fellow pop heavyweight Beyonce.

Adele and partner Simon Konecki enjoy a rare night out at Beyoncé gig- and bring along good friend Alan Carr.

The trio, who were celebrating Adele's 25th birthday, were snapped ordering some drinks at London's O2 arena on Sunday (5 May 2013) during superstar Beyoncé's sell-out gig.

The notoriously private couple welcomed their first child in October last year, thought to be named Angelo James, although they have never actually commented on the reports.

Comedian Carr previously described keeping his good friend Adele's secrets as 'torture', explaining that he is always worried that he will reveal them when he is drunk.

'Adele told me she was pregnant way before it came out and she told me the name of her baby too!' he has said.

Adding: 'I was like, 'Nooooo - why do you have to do this to me? You know what I'm like after a couple of wines!'

'It was torture. After every night I'd have to check, 'Did I tell you anything about Adele last night?!''
